Beam's artistic journey began with a love for drawing and coloring, evolving into an interest in architecture, which initially led him to aspire to become an architect. However, Beam's discovery of fashion design during high school marked a pivotal shift in his creative journey, pointing him toward viewing clothing as wearable art—a concept that deeply resonated with him.

Beam discovered his deep fascination with knitting over sewing, captivated by the luxurious potential of knitwear volume and the ability to create three-dimensional garments. Beam loves the idea of creating something from nothing. Knitwear begins with a strand of yarn. It relies on mathematics and an understanding of the craft.
